What we do

  • Porcelain patios from Talasey and Tobermore
  • Indian sandstone and natural stone paving
  • Steps, raised patios and retaining walls
  • Brick and natural stone walling
  • Raised planters and seating areas
  • Outdoor LED lighting and water features

A good patio turns a garden into another room. We design and build patios that are level, drain properly and still look sharp years later.

Porcelain and natural stone

We lay porcelain from Talasey and Tobermore, plus Indian sandstone and other natural stone. Porcelain is our most popular choice for its clean look and how little looking after it needs. Natural stone suits older houses and a softer, more traditional garden.

Laid properly

Every slab goes down on a full mortar bed over a compacted sub-base, with a bonding primer on the back of porcelain. Falls are set so rain runs off, not towards the house, and joints are finished neatly so weeds have nowhere to get in.

The finishing touches

Most of our patios are part of a bigger garden. We build steps, brick and stone walls, raised planters and seating areas, and fit LED lighting and water features so the whole space works together.

Design first

Nathan will visit, measure up and show you what the patio could look like before anything is ordered. You get a clear written quote and a guarantee of 5 to 10 years on the finished job.

Questions

Common questions

Porcelain or natural stone, which is best?

Porcelain is hard wearing, stain resistant and easy to keep clean, while natural stone such as Indian sandstone has a softer, more traditional look. We bring samples to your home so you can see both in your own garden light.

How is a patio laid?

We dig out, lay and compact a sub-base, then bed every slab on a full mortar bed with a slurry primer for porcelain, so there are no hollow spots. Joints are finished with a quality jointing compound.

Can you add lighting?

Yes. We fit LED lights into steps, walls, planters and paving so the garden looks as good at night as it does in the day.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every patio comes with a written guarantee of between 5 and 10 years, depending on the job and the materials.
